Final Head render


This is the texture map and lighting rig final results. With the head done I am going to concentrate on deepening the normal map textures. For the clothing, trenchcoat and probably add a few fine details to the face like hair.

You're textures appear blurry. Try increasing the resolution of the texture map. The combination of photo and painting is almost working here. Be careful about blurry vs sharp details in your texture. Also use a SSS shader (sub surface scattering). The spec on your skin shader isn't working.

You are right it looks waxy or plastic I have had alot of bad results with the SSS shader but will keep trying.
